Fire Detection Systems management
The UNI 11224:2019 standard published by the Ente Nazionale di Normazione, describes the procedures for the initial and periodic control, surveillance, maintenance and general verification of fire detection systems.
The standard applies to both new systems and old ones, introducing new notions and procedures. The “Maintenance Technician” is introduced as the “competent and qualified person who carries out his tasks in a reliably, takes responsibility for the finalization and adapts his behavior to circumstances while solving problems”.
The professional must therefore follow some mandatory steps of the standard and comply with the prescribed standards, avoiding errors and technical misconducts.
